During September, our focus as a class was on becoming fluent in basic Math and Reading Skills. When we lay a solid foundation of these skills, we will be better prepared to move forward in the curriculum. Please read our newsletter below to learn how we practiced these skills in the classroom, and how you can also use these skills at home! In Social Emotional Classes, we focused on our first of seven habits of a highly successful student - Be Proactive. Students learned the differences between Proactivity and Reactivity. They learned to take initiative in their own actions, moods, and attitudes towards situations at home and school. Students created a goal for an area they would like to grow in. Ask your student how they plan to be proactive this month! Lastly, in Writing, we have learned about Personal Narratives, and students have practiced basic Writing Skills by writing their own Personal Narratives. It has been an exciting time in Mrs. Snyder's Classroom! Remember to keep an eye out on Instagram at @beyoutifullearners to see what your students are doing!
